Representatives of the Consumer Goods Expertise Center under the Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control State Service under the Ministry of Economy visited Georgia. Within the framework of the visit, business meetings were held with the employees of the Revenue Service under the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the Georgian Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
During the meetings, information was given on the general structure of the expertise activity on determining the country of origin of the goods, and the organizations that perform existing regulation, control and enforcement functions in this field. Discussions were held on practical and theoretical aspects of the expertise process, operating digital systems, normative documents regulating their structure, working principle and activity, provided electronic services, tariffs applied for provenance expertise services, the basis of their formation and application, and other issues.
